In fact I only came upon this game just now when I checked Steam had been updated and this game was on the featured game bar.
The game looks amazing. It looks exactly what Id hope for this type of game as long as the game's scale is true to the epic battles I saw in the trailer. It looks like a mix of World in Conflict and Supreme Commander 1 (just for scale and the zoomey out map) which is an awesome mix in my eyes.
I hope the popularity picks up though because it looks like it would be freakin awesome online and so I hope for a big community.
Game looks incredible and yet hardly any media.

My friends and I have been waiting for this game. We said the same thing about it being on the epic scale of SupCom 1.

Its sort of like World in Conflict only more varied, without the tactical aid, slightly larger scale and more game mechanics thrown in to make things more complex like ammo, fuel, and terrain. How much larger the game is depends on game mode / # of players / # of command points assigned in pre game lobby.

R.U.S.E. had barely any advertising either, and they're making the same mistake now. Even horrible games make a lot of sales when they have good advertising. With a proper media campaign, a good game like WEE would succeed even more. You can make the best game in the world, but nobody will buy it if they don't know it exists.

But advertising also costs money....

Alright, pitch your personal advertising plan to Focus!

I think that steam free weekend is the best way to go if you do not have a lot of money for advertising, and since game has its premier just before weekend it is great opportunity. Only downside of free weekend is bigger server load, but all in all free weekend is basically free advertising and it is much better than demo.
