The only way I can see Taiwan being included is through DLC

It would be amazing to see Taiwan and Vietnam based on just how much of a military presence/influence they represented in the region at the time. Too bad there's probably too much politics for that to happen.

Thing is if Taiwan is included and portrayed as an independent nation the game will be banned in the PRC (Like Hearts of Iron).

Well there are 3 reasons I guess
1. Main battle areas are in Korea not the southeast asia
2. The alternative history includes the event that China annexes Taiwan
3. As many said becuz of the censorship.
