Non of the units suggested are recon units per se.

Off-Topic cleared. Keep it civil or face the consequences.

So much Bluefor focus on the original post. What about Redfor (didn't read all 12 pages, sorry if this post is redundant)? The current situation is lousy, Redfor has only one 10 man recon unit which isn't really special in any way. Quite frankly if we were to separate the units to Direct action and Combat recon teams you'd first need to address this lack of 10 man recons for Redfor. If I recall correctly, Bluefor has around ten different SF recon teams so the factions are hardly on equal footing.

I think you are barking up the wrong bias tree :P

I also re-wrote the rosters for 4 Redfor and 5 Bluefor so that's about as balanced as it gets. It would be excellent to have new units for them I agree, but I was only working around what currently exists in the games assets because Eugen have no interest in creating new assets.

I just mention them a lot because they are a good frame of reference for the majority of people who play this game and have seen hollywood movies and are from the west.

I never complained anyone of bias, just expressed my concern regarding Redfor.

Sorry if this is a silly question; but is this just being postulated or is it a wip mod??

Cheers :)

This would fix a lot of decks if they made these changes.

Some examples per U.S.

1. Move Rangers to infantry. Rangers would be the counterparts to VDV, which makes sense. Rangers = VDV, Riflemen = motostrelki. Would make Airborne/Assault decks more interesting.

2. Move Delta to Recon. Special insertion in strategically important areas. Need to find that pesky artillery and surgically removed or spotted? Delta = Best of the best but few in number.

3. Seals are in recon already. Not sure about Seals and Delta in the same specialization.

Per U.K

SAS back to recon where they belong!

Paratroopers are your go to guys in Air Assaults not SAS. Need Special insertion bring the SAS.

How did these decks get screwed up so badly since WAB?

I am thankful for the SAS getting moved to SF infantry status...they were creaming anything getting close.

Now they are used as a surgical knife...versus the all-rounder it was in RD beta...that was a nightmare.

Now if you want it back to Recon...then my FBJ-40 should do the same...and get an Igla just to add "flavor" to the sneaky past recon/AA /AT/AI campfest.

It is unfortunately, just dreaming. If any modder wants to steal it and run with it, please do though!
