I don't feel it's that useful, but it's not too much trouble (seriously, how hard is it to close that window once per game??) and occasionally it's actually pretty neat.

And yeah, I look forward to using it to teach some friends new to Wargame the units.

I actually really like it, but like others have noted, I wish it had been the real background than just a green background.. And also to see the actual bullets/missles shooting or landing

I think it's just there so the people that always lamented about not being able to see what was going on with your units when you are zoomed all the way out to command your units. Although not perfect I find it does the job well enough.

Me too first thing I do is to minimize it
I hope they remove it in later patch

I was of the impression, although it doesn't make much sense, that it was possibly to do with being able to view the damage of the vehicles to assess how serious it is or something. But ofc that makes no sense when there's HP. The idea that it can help with recognition makes a LOT of sense though. Maybe it can also help with inclines and elevation of guns etc.

As Long as the info card bug exists, there is no need to use this feature.

The problem with this is that the unit window, as far as I understand, isn't an actual picture of your unit. It's a render of the model of the unit. Picture in Picture is significantly more resource intensive, and as far as I know, rather hard to implement.

I feel like it could have some utility for someone who doesn't know what a T-80 is, but can recognize a tank.

Seems to be the actual in-game unit to me, whenever I watch the unit it's focused on I see it pointing the same direction, firing it's weapons at the same time, popping flares at the same moments etc. for aircraft i find it actually very useful to see when it's being shot at and whether I should be paying attention to it so I can see where the enemy fire is coming from. I agree it would be good if i could see the terrain around it, but i wouldn't know if that's the original intention or even technically possible,

I just hope that they didn't spend very many programmer hours creating it, as I personally don't use it at all.
