Observer mode

Postby Vhanlay » Sun 4 May 2014 17:36

Hi Eugen, we would really appreciate having the power to observe our friends and also tournament game. Would be a great plus for the competition.

No need for delay guys.... In starcraft there is no probleme like that. If u want a delay, just go for the replay. And i don't think a delay will help for spying, CV don't change a lot of place ;-). So in 5mins, lot of chance that he don't have moved since.

Just add a team: observer team, and it's done.

PS, shifu you work on my post and now i can't edit it...

I`m afraid you will have to stick to http://www.teamviewer.com/ or twitch to do that.

But +1 to OP and Shifu`s post anyway, obv I could only be allowed with permission of both players(if you want to see al units), or one player(if you just want to see what he sees).

+1 too! But we need to check what would be the side effects of such a mode (spying games for example).

Well, yeah, but it's also a great learning tool. Right now the only way for a third player to help teamates learn in a 1v1 is to join a side and surrender - it increases the troops availability double fold while the observer player is limited to his own side.

Make it optional and a little bit tweakable (how many, which side or both side, etc...) and it will be great already. So +1 - and preferably without delay, I don't need a toothless tool - if I dont want spies I will just switch it off...
