General info on the upcoming balance changes and DLC

Postby Ralphyy123 » Sat 7 Jun 2014 11:50

MODERATORS NOTE

Here is a list outlining what is generally being looked at.

SPECIFICS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED, NEITHER WILL A TIMELINE. THIS IS ONLY HERE TO GIVE AN IDEA OF WHAT MIGHT BE COMING UP. EVEN THIS MIGHT BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. BALANCE TESTING IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE PLANNED FOR.

1) upgrading the NSWP-states to 90ies standards by adding ca. 20 units each
2) adding land based anti-ship missile launchers
3) tank rebalance
4) infantry rebalance (removal of SF 1.4 damage bonus modifier)
5) "heavy SAM" rebalance
6) re-rolls, re-armament and other buffs for the US and USSR
7) Low level APC price rebalance
8) MORE

I know you want details, but I am not sure if I am at the liberty to give such details.

So they decided to regroup everything (campaign included ?) into the same DLC/update ?

Oh the whining will never stop.

That's all I needed to know. Thanks for laying it out. Bookmarking this post for reference purposes the next time I see a thread like this.

Maybe change the first point to state that it includes entirely new unique models, new models for older variant units, new infantry models, and reskins.

If Campaign will be a part of DLC #1 aka the Eastern Bloc DLC remains to be seen. They will try their best however.

Thank you for this information! I don't care for waiting, but I wanted some kind of confirmation about all these "rumors". :)

And what we've been waiting for since the dawn of ALB, practically... How about Xeno's and the community's efforts to put together (and even mod complete versions of) more authentic and capable air decks without adding extra planes?

Before we even get onto the promised cannon rebalance...

I only mention as Flieger's list for the 'DLC' appears to include various points that are actually due in a patch, not a DLC - and while large patches traditionally accompany DLC, there are a hell of a lot of things that people have been sitting patiently on in the understanding that major patching is indeed waiting for DLC.
