I like them a lot now. They are great, but very easy to SEAD since they don't even get a chance to fire back like a big radar SAM does.

They are really no more lethal than MANPADs were before the patch, except that radar SPAAG at least have a reliable counter.

Works well with 9HE radar SAMs, too :)

Yeah they have been redesigned gloriously.
Also, they are not OP, they run out of ammo blazing fast now.

Could someone elaborate on what was changed, as I am currently not home and certain AAA like the PIVADs have the same ROF listed

I'm glad that most people here agree with me that SPAAGs became useful: now it is important to build a well-rounded ADN with layered defense instead of relying solely on MANPADS and high-end radar AAs.

Yeah SPAAGs are hellishly good now, as they should be against any aircraft foolish enough to venture into their firing range without SEAD escort. They are not OP, those who complain are merely not making the effort to adapt to the new environment.

Autocannons have been given real life rate of fire, or atleast close to real life, thats why spaags are so good now.

I feel like the combination of the general increase in HE power of [RAD] SAMs and the increase in SPAAG power works well together. Hard say right now if the SPAAG is overly powerful right now though. Give it a week or two for people to figure out all the tricks of using/dealing with high-end SPAAG and then I think it'd be fair to talk about changing it around.

High-end SPAAG in general have had their RoF buffed to the point that they basically fire a continuous stream of shells. The Shilka series in particular for REDFOR basically projects a solid line of bullets at any plane foolish enough to fly overhead.

You should mention that this is precisely as it should be.
