ALB beta: Burrito and BMPT. Cheesewheel o clock.

ALB: Spetz. Basically took (and has taken) infantry superiority away from minors, thus gutting the entire concept of asymmetric balance.
Rapier's anemic 2600m range and absurd FoF tag.
Nighthawk, because it basically invalidated RAD SAMs.

RD Closed Beta: Wargame: SMERCHland Battle. Scattering 12 HE15 bombs across the landscape is not good for gameplay. Steel Balalaika had a field day; the rest of us simply stopped playing vs USSR.

RD Open Beta: FSJ 90/SAS: Both of these units were hideously overpowered.

RD:
Patriot (poor decision).

Out of all these?

Spetz win the award for the longevity. They've stayed controversial for the longest, and with good reason.

Ay, but I think the Burrito and multiple rocket launchers (Incl. cluster) win for longevity if you include EE.
A brilliant plan from the dirtiest euro-hippie: get US players to pay me for a game that I then show them how much their military sucks so I can feel better about being a communist.

Have RD's pre-nerf FIST teams been mentioned yet?

Decukunsgrupen in Marder 1s were unstoppable killers in forests for a while
If there's two kinds of players, those that like challenges and those that want a fair game, pubstomps should make everyone happy.

all SF infantry units, especially in towns, against double or triple their own number

Udaloy and Soveremy, because they are soo OP, and you can get one of each (so two excellent ships to Blufor's one), whereas you have to nurse the Kongo around the map with a hoard of Cham-Su-Ri
btw Challenger 1 Mk. 1 is pointless, just get the Mk. 2 or Chieftain Mk. 11
