I could create playable, authentic/realistic regiments in WAB's deck system because it allowed me to do so, whilst encouraging it at the same time. THAT was amazing and truly the core of the immersion. But instead of taking it and refining it, they chucked that out of the window and installed a gamey PoS system which basically messed up not only my beloved immersion/realism/authenticity but also the whole premise of game balance and best of all, logic.

You can just make an unspecialized deck that fits your autis- authentic vision. I, for one, have no desire to play a game where one country's motorized deck is better because their doctrine attached MBTs to their BTR battalions, whereas another country didn't and is therefore gimped.

I don't understand what it is about the authenticity crowd that gives them such a desire to ram their own gameplay concepts down other people's throats. If you want to make a realistic Soviet MRR (BTR), you can do so by making an unspecialized deck with only T-72s and BTRs and not defecating on other people's gameplay experience.

The majority of specialized decks are completely and utterly unplayable because they've had stupid rules forced on them. What you're proposing doesn't make the rules any less stupid, it just takes them from a different source.

The issue is that you can't make a gameplay viable deck that allows you even some reasonable degree of authenticity in RD, whereas in WAB, you could. There are other ways to balance specialise decks between authenticity and gameplay, but instead of adding units for the sake of balance whilst preserving gameplay, they take out units.

Also, I am mot proposing anything, that was done and rejected many moons ago. Not gonna waste my time arguing for it.

All of them, but only nations and coalitions.

Norks for fun.
Scandi for god-tier reserve spam.
UK for...well, mostly nationalism.
France for the bias.
Germany for the MG3.
US for, well, 'murica.
Poland for fun.
DDR for triumphing through SHEER FORCE OF WILL.
BDs...well, meh. Dull faction is dull.
China if I want a really weird mix of hi and lo tech.
Czechs for...well, dull mechanized superiority.
USSR for, well, RUSSIA STRONK.

France because I like their play style - light and fast.
Japan & S-Korea because I find their units interesting and these nations aren't horrible op compared to the others.
Chiina because I find their units interesting and aren't horrible op compared to the others.
DDR because I like their play style.
Sweden because want them pew pew IFV's

No mixed and I can help it no coalitions.

Sweden, because I'm Swedish, so pretty simple.

But even if Sweden wasn't in RD I would probably play some other minor since I also like the challenge of being the underdog. It makes the little victories so much better, like last night when I managed to kill a T-64BV with a STRV 102R - that's a 35 point tank killing a 175 point tank - yeah it happens like once in a 1000 hours, but when it does it's pretty awesome :D

I play Japan because they are a high risk, high reward faction. You either kill the enemy quickly, or get terminated yourself.

Paper tanks, paper planes, infantry with the worst machine guns in the game but the best anti-infantry transports. And simple yet formidable recon options.

Also, 6 Kyu Marus per deck.
Mobile Units Operational :!:

I play the soviets 88% of the time and sometimes dabble in RD/NSWP

Blufor (espically eurocorpse) is way too complicated and weak for me, plus i usually like to have a 3:1 k/d ratio

I play the soviets since

1.Nationalistic Reasons

2. Best faction in game

3. Fits my strategy well

4. Glorious worker's paradise

5. Best military of all time

6. RUSSIA STRONK

i play a little of everything except CW pretty much

for funsies casual play, i think RD Motorized is my favorite, and not just due to professional background.

- unlike USSR/NSWP motorized, you get long range SAMs and autoloader tanks (ZTZ-85II)
- motorized inf/rec/veh bonus helps RD in the areas where their gimmicks shine best.
- the only units of note youre missing out on are m1992, pgz-95, later ztz-85 series, and t90.
