Possible tweaks to the Polish Su-22 line or USSR MiG-29

Postby Alex18762 » Wed 12 Nov 2014 22:45

I

For Su-22 line Change loadout to Polish Su-22M4 to 2xKh-29Ts while add the Su-22M3 with the Kh-25 loadout. Put 4xKAB-500Kr LGBs on the Su-22M4 seria 30(it had the targeting equipment for them.source:airwar.ru)

For the MiG-29 Give the M variant 2xKAB-1500Kr LGBs+ 2xR-73 and add MiG-23S-13(soviet 9-13 ) current MiG-29M loadout

The second tweak would add IMO a tiny bit more variety to redfor LGBs without surpassing Blufor platforms.

There was already a sizeable thread about the USSR Mig-29M getting KAB capability instead of redundant cluster.
In regards to the Polish aircraft, im unsure as to the extent of GBU usage within the Polish airforce at the time. Kh-29Ts are quite useful however.

Mig-29M can't get new bombs and different missiles, 3 weapon limit.

Though I would welcome a better loadout than clusters. Or just buff clusters.

MiG29M rockets are fine, though replace clusters\buff clusters are always welcome :)

The Polish aircraft suggestion would be great if it wasn't for a slight problem - Poland never operated the Su-22M3, we only had M4s and UM3Ks. I'm not sure if our air force even had laser-guided bombs in its inventory.

Thats why the current MiG-29M loadout will be given to the added MiG-29S-13(new variant but not new model so it isn't against eugen's rules) and the tweaked MiG-29M will have 3 weapons:GSh-301,2xR-73,2xKAB-1500kr

Its not a new unit it would be a soviet MiG-29 9-13. NSWP already has them.

It's a new unit if it means a country gets 1 more unit slot than they've had before.

Mig-29 is only really rated for 500kg bombs. KAB-1500 has only been applied to Su-24, Flankers, and Tu-22.

A cluster buff would help MiG-29, and that could come in the next DLC. Personally, I'm hoping for that.
