Sorry, but you could not bring down the soldiers from helicopters by ropes (at least for the elite troops) ?? I think the fact that those helicopters have to land to bring down the soldiers seem to make them more exposed. In this way it would speed up the discharge of the soldiers

There used to be a bug that would let you drop off infantry without landing a helicopter, and let me tell you it was a pretty dumb period in this game's history.

What your asking for, 'fast roping' has been requested for a long time but unfortunately the developers don't want to include it. Something about fast roping wasn't widely used during this era or something.

I suspect that was true back when we were in EE, but by the mid 90's I doubt this is still the case.

It hurt even more because all REDFOR had to fight against hordes of 10HP flying FSJ90 buses back then was the sokol

It seems unrealistic that a helicopter to drop off the soldiers on the front has to lose so much time.

Direct insertion is still the main way of helicopter insertion today as it's actually faster. Fast roping is ironically not all that fast. It's use would primarily be urban insertions and in rocky terrain and woods.

Because you must go one by one, but even then a hot insertion would be so much better instead of having to wait years for my glorious Chinooks to land.

You's probably have to wait even longer for the helis to stabilize. all in all it should take roughly twice as long to fast rope in game.

Landing also makes it a lot easier to bring in all that heavy AT weaponry.
