A desperately needed change indeed, although those comparisons that hans provided show that there is some very serious balancing work to be done, or at least price buffs/nerfs.

This is why i'm so nervous about everyone clamoring that the leopard is fine. Buffing one series of tanks to be "semi-competitive" (T-80 still loses to 1A5) with the leopard leaves all the rest of the tanks in the dust, and now those tanks are uncompetitive.

case in point

The Abrams and the T-80 cost the same.

T-80
+3 Ap
+175 range (+1 AP, 5% improved accuracy at same range)
+2 side armor

M1
+2 FAV
+5 KPH
+20% accuracy

In combat, the Abrams has to chase the T-80 for 175 meters to open fire, and only does 1 damage when it connects, when the T-80 does 2, solidly wiping the Abrams.

The T80 has the advantage of close in combat, which will kill a lot of tanks, very high AP for its price increased with 2225m range and autoloader(like an upgraded T64a)

the long range combat for USSR is mostly done by T72b anyways, although i would love some different options for that but
obr 87 and 89 are overpriced still, they should get 19 ap like T64bv1
T64bv1 could get 5 pts buff
T80bv too

Before you make judgement, T-80 is a C cat tank, so it is pointless to compare B and C category tanks. C category units mostly show their real power comparing to other C category stuff...

When will be this learned by the most of community...? Codextero made a good comparison while hansbroger's is totally pointless and bad...

No they don't, because CAT C is irrelevant.
If there's two kinds of players, those that like challenges and those that want a fair game, pubstomps should make everyone happy.

It is not the fault of Eugen that most of WG users are simply too dumb to discover era games... Your opinion which is totally irrelevant...
