Second test firing:

Both firings left the enemy combat ineffective. I could have probably attack moved 5 squads of Motostrelki 90 through them and won. Two firings proved enough to destroy both most of the vehicles and heavily damage the a superheavy tank. The second firing managed to kill two helicopters as well.

It should be buffed, but Range is simply too high for anything other than Support.

Flame damage to vehicles is back...and its really really effective. And can get your unit stunlocked alot more than previously.So if you do not get out fast...you are going to burn to death.

Exactly. Before DLC3 final patch you could bring all good USSR unit without sacrifice anything. BMPT, Buration almost for free in VHC tab while you could buy 1xcluster arty, 1xmortar, 1xtop tier arty, 1xBuk, 1xany SHORAD/AAA. This made so powerful the USSR...

So? That means nothing. The CEV, AVRE and BMPT also have greater range than regular cannons with their guns, does that mean they should move too?

No. As doctrine and the way the weapons were actually used has real emphasis on where units are placed, and the TOS-1 was used directly with tanks, a lot like, the CEV or BMPT for example...

Gotta say though, its good you can't bring 3 types of arty and a tos-1 without giving up all your AA potential. Still ASF and man pads but leaving yourself open. Now you gotta make a bit more of a trade for Burrantino.

Because the USSR just rockets down to the bottom of the barrel because it can't bring a situational artillery piece or one extra support unit in every deck. :roll:
