Units that you feel bad about using (old ALB thread)

Honestly, when I am doing well with it, the Caesar. I'm not gonna post em, but I got a kill list 4 screenshots long with one of them. brutal.
The other unit is Spetznaz. They are just to easy to use. Enemy has a blob of inf? Throw two units of spetznaz at them without bothering to micro properly, still win. Enemy has armor backing them up? Give me some VDV backup.

One unit that I field quite often made me feel both bad and good from time to time. After using it extensively the J-7H though made me feel bad. I wrecked an enemy by simply deploying loads of those cheap 1000kg bomb trucks. They get refuled so fast that you can have at least one of them in the air at all times.



I only have a screenshot of one of those but mind you the others also have quite longish lists of kills. Those 4 planes probably killed between 1600 and 1800 points alone, while only one survived the game.

YAK-141 shouldn't be in because it's competitor the SU-27 has several incatations and was the reason there wasn't any YAK-141's IRL.

Similar with the KA-52 and the KA-50/Mi-28. As the KA-52 was made on the basis of several concerns the original KA-50 had, and later replaced it in production.

yak 141 was strictly for navy, and it was almost in service until their prototype crashed and ussr bankrupt

The Yak-141 was just a prototype, unlike the Su-27K/Su-33. Perhaps the latter could be added to the Naval complement as an AD interceptor (as per F-14). The 141 didn't enter service mainly for political reasons (carriers were cancelled due to break-up of SU).

The Mi-28 and Ka-50 were never in service but for some reason we in the West thought the Kamov was an AA or AH chopper. There existed only 'artists impressions' until the Paris show. The Ka-50 (not 52) was in limited service in the late 90s in Dagestan and Chechenia.

the su33 doesnt replace the yak141....

again the yak141 is fine and actually make sense to be in it, especially it is place in Kiev class which only jump jets can be on it
