I played yesterday because of nostalgia :lol: Airland Battle again. And something which bothers me until today is why ALB missiles seems to have the correct stats. Missiles with 10 accuracy miss rarely, HOTs and Konkurs are cost effective, and they seem to hit even when panicking. But in RD, you can just pray to God that your missile will hit. Even the TOW 2, the missile with the highest accuracy(70%), miss too often(as if they had 40% accuarcy). Tanks have now a much better accuracy, making them the most dangerous unit category in a battlefield. But missile carriers(infantry, vehicles) have no chance to kill these guys. You need twice as much ATGMs to kill a bunch of cheap T-55AM. I know that RD won't be updated for a long time, but if tanks are now more accurate than in ALB, why are ATGMs now less accurate than in ALB, even when tanks got really buffed(even T-72A miss less often than a TOW2?)

Yep, ATGM mechanics were much better in ALB.

I do not feel that it is such a big problem any more. all ATGM with 50-70% accuracy hit almost any stationary targets. otherwise I might just lucky. but I use ATGM in every game I play. ;)

agree

the new mechanic makes it hard to price atgm
basically only Tow 2 are reliable now

Even then, the TOW-2 still has the issue of hitting, especially when a enemy is advancing on its position (too little time to move and correct its flight path)

Yeah, and it was 50% of the time usually. I just miss when that was considered damn good and not the standard.

I remember pretty much everyone applauding the change to ATGM, saying they were way to strong before the changes. They even nerfed the changes back a bit. Seems like we've made a full 180° and people want their ever hitting ATGMs back, making armoured pushes even harder. (Or have you all forgotten about that?)
