I think the restriction to low end heavies is in part to make Armored look nicer. The best tanks Mech gets is in China (and I think that's just because of the lower FAV). Opening up the next tier (HA, A4, Obr '89, 72S) would still let Armored have the tank advantage and would definitely give Mech decks some extra punch.

I'd prefer it if Armored and Mech were identical except for bonuses, but Eugen apparently doesn't want that.

Well in RD MECH
you get shit infantry other than your SF
you have no shock or good line infantry to face against the wave of scandinavian mg3 zerg army ...... and their 10pt autocannon transport

(damn you quad!! )

They do get the 87, but who would use that overpriced shit tank ?? you better off focusing on T72b

I never said RD Mech was good (all about that Motorized).

I like the '87. It's not that bad. I don't actually spend time comparing tank prices, but it works for my USSR Mech.

I mean, the '87 works solely because it's the heaviest tank you can get in Soviet mech. In all other regards it's pretty terrible.

You pay 30 more points for 3 more frontal armor and 1 more top armor, right? Pretty shitty deal.

Don't know why the T-72s have such strange armour values - the B is better protected than the T-64 or T-80 with ERA, which normally adds only 2 points overall. Yet the A only has 13 points, which is 1 less than the M1 (which is the same, if not slightly weaker). The Chieftain Stillbrew also gets 14 points, which seems much too low compared to the Challenger or Abrams.

Warpact mechanised decks actually look quite tempting, if you can get over the cost difference. Don't pick the Dyna, though.

No, it still doesn't work. If it so cost ineffective you might as well just spam T-72B and T-72BI tanks instead.

Did you just discover that while pubstomping?

I was using BMP3's in EE when they still had Bastions. Arkans are a blessing from Soviet God's and if BMP-3's are Jesus, than Dynas are the prophet John.

Sticking sniper Arkan launchers all over the place is fun. Don't bash it til you tried it Fade.

In ALB? Or RD?

RD if find the BMP-3...okay only if the Caddie-Shack optical disappearing act wouldn't happen so much. And the dang...lets role two hexagonal dice to see if we can hit.
