Does RD ASF have to be so terrible just because .....??
they get shafted in missile accuracy, availability and price already....

I think love may come to Red Dragon soon.

You see, this patch USSR has some love with Gornostrelki with BTR and radarless wheeled AA.
Eastern Block has mot.Schutzen avail buff with dearest BMP-1.

We all see there is one faction of red missed here. :D

Best to lay low and let MM/FLX do their thing. Save our ideas, wait for the next time they hint at a release, and give a bucket list.

Hell, why there is no mention that ZTQ-62G got its price increased from 60 pts to 70 pts?
EDIT: I can swear that Canadian cluster Hornet got cheaper too, didn't it cost like 150 pts before? Now it cots only 125 pts.

No, it was radio command guided. It had the same guidance method as Krug but with additional antennas to be able to guide two missiles on the same target.

Didn't many radar SAMs have a back up optical guided mode?

I know the Roland has, although it is not just a back up, but a fully functional mode.

The optical guidance also uses radio command guidance...
The optical guidane means optical TRACKING of target but the missile still need guidance from the launch platfrom...

The only thing what is happening that you swap the radar tracing to optical tracking. So a radar-RCG guided missile is "converted" into a SACLOS-RCG guided missile.

This is why should not be immune to SEAD even Tunguska...
AGM-45/78 could not use RCG signals for guidance but AGM-88 can. Even flights sims are not modeled soo deeply the SEAD...

In fact it means any RCG guided SAM system should be vulnerable to SEAD considering general limtations of the code and absraction. The only thing why some RCG gudided SAM is immnue to SEAD is only "gamebalace"...

So the OSA actually got the treatment the Roland 2 was asked to get a million times?

Totally doesn't fill a hole in the W.-German deck but the USSR definitely needed another IR guided launcher...
