At this point, and all the frustrations of getting something for red dragon, do you still not see the glaringly obvious? RED DRAGON JUST CANNOT HAVE GOOD STUFF. THEY CANNOT FIGHT SHIT BATTLE WITHOUT GOING ALL ZERGLING STYLE! And it's there to get their ass kicked. Years of western misinformation and propaganda probably have drilled this into Eugen's mind so hard that anything less of a lobotomy could revert it.

Eugen's reasoning:
1. all classified China stuff is crap and cannot make happen even for gameplay purposes. Let's just make shit up when it takes more than an hour and a good translator to find the information.
2. all classified Jew stuff is godlike and have to stay so even it's breaking gameplay. let's just make shit up when the facts slap our wishful thinking in the face.

And it saddens me to see keldon maintains this thread while Eugen consistently overlooks it.

Good job.

I'm still hoping for a free DLC, they said they won't add new units in the patch ;)

Mig-29 9-12B buff:

I've done some research on the heftier IR missiles at redfors disposal, is there a reason why R-27T has only 4550m range ingame?

R-27T: range against receding target 45km (50km R-27R), range against closing in target 70km (80km R-27R)
[source: enemyforces.net]

R-40T: 36km effective range

I'm proposing a buff to 7000m range.

Give it ripple fire like the Finnish Mig-29.

Spoiler : :
I'll leave this to the experts: Can IR missiles be fired in fast succession (or simultaneous)? I've seen videos, some types obviously can 8-)
In context with Mig-25 a doctrine used was to fire IR R-40T first, then RAD R-40R, to prevent the IR missile from locking on to the RAD missile. Wouldn't ripple fire do the same, they are too close for lockon afterall?

This would make it a medium range ASF to be reckoned with. It's an unconventional standpoint unlike handing out R-27Rs.

Honestly, those stats seem rather...exaggerated for the R-27T. :? The missile was known to be quit unreliable for its intended purpose. Max. range =/= actually useful range to fire with acceptable hit probability.

Even Wiki only gives it an operational range of 2-33km (head-on) and 0-5,5km (tail-on) quoting an Su-27 flight manual...

One year anniversary for this thread, my dudettes!!!!

Some major stuff has changed in the past year, like the demise of SovKor and so on. I have maintained IMO a rather pragmatic approach since the beginning of this thread, that being some re-roles in few key tabs with the intention of as less work as possible for the devs (thus the thread title "fine-tuning" and not "overhaul"), but as we can see the goal of this thread hasn't been reached, in short RD still sucks hairy balls...

I would have updated the OP for the anniversary, but 1) I'm still sick and have pain 2) There hasn't been significant changes beside the igla-bus. Maybe soon there will be a dedicated patch for RD, which i recommended/wanted more than a year ago. Well, till then time to chew on my painkillers again...

If North Korean MiG-29 9.12B becomes a copy of Yugoslav L-18, it will become amazing.

R-27T is a gimmick.
The SEAD never bothered me anyway.

We have potential for an ungraded Type 59 for the Norks here perhaps?

Which NK tanks use a FCS?

IIRC, Chonma-ho 3 got one, but I could be wrong.

55% or more acc at 2275 range can make them quite formidable.
