not sure but i think the TY-90 is the 2000 variant, i think the 90s variant only carry 4 missiles?
mi-1 is overpriced.

Mi-1

Aloutette 2 has more autonomy, fuel, and speed.

A portion of the produced Z-9 in 80s-90s were artillery spotters, whether this can count as recon in eugens eye, i don't know.

More dedicated recon variants with sensor pods everywhere are however a really late development, like in 2005+ with the Z-9WA as the basic model.

The Mi-24K is an artillery observer, so it's legit. The Z-9 having no sensor equipment is good news, it means it's definitely good optics. It's a very nice little capability, more useful than the MD500 AGS in the recon role if probably a little more expensive.

The current ingame Z-9 is a frankenstein with parts from base model and the WA version, hence the high loadout. Pics of the 80s version is somewhere in the thread.

Eugen could also saved the money to model Mi-1 since PLA didn't operate it.

TBH, if the unit count are very tight, i'd rather NK have something worth taking, instead of China getting all the useful unit spot. But generally the Z-9 would be a better good optics recon, simply because of the speed and the possible better weapon options.

I found something very interesting.

The designation and performance of 2nd periode APFSDS.

Original thread: http://www.fyjs.cn/thread-1883928-1-1.html

As usual the pics are too big to embed, so have some links instead

The data sticker on the ammo crate

The ammo crate itself
https://i.imgur.com/qldqjyh.jpg

Relevant Data:

Designation: DTW-125
For ZPT-98 Gun
Muzzle velocity: 1740 m/s
Direct fire range: 2136m
Spread at 1000m: 0,25m x 0,25m
pen performance: 220mm at 68,5° in 2000m

I also found a nice tool for calculating such data.

https://panzerworld.com/relative-armor- ... &angle_2=0

This is roughly 600mm RHA as you can see. To put it into a graphic: https://i.imgur.com/Esmnx7C.jpg

Additional i think those pen data with angle are indeed just the test enviroment, the absolute number is still unknown. This would also apply to those RPG data i have given.

As for why such rather detailed "leak" happened contrary to what how PLA usually handles such things. Speculation is this batch of ammo are for export with the newly purchased VT-4.

btw. I have read the reddit link in the other thread. So, eugen is absolutely done with the game now?
