Well, well, well, I can understand Eugen Systems choosing WW2 from a marketing standpoint.

On the other hand, I will not give them a single cent if it's a game set in that period of time.

I actually had a bit of a find on that front. There was a Swedish 145mm HEAT rocket that the SK-60 could carry 6 of. The usual problem with HEAT rockets is that they whittle heavy armour down too effectively with the cumulative 1 damage but, with decent spread, 6 rockets won't do that. I don't really know what the penetration was like but if the SK-60 were reroled into a weird AT aircraft then the AJ 37 could become the bomber.

The Danish Draken is just going to have to hope for a rerole honestly.
What if Wargame stuck to timeframe?

This operation is planned as a victory, and that's the way it's going to be. #InTwoDays #GDC17

Another quote from Eisenhower so pretty sure will be WW2

I pointed this out on the Steam-forum counterpart, but I'll re-iterate it here:

Dwight Eisenhower was the US President from 1953-1961.

Early-Era Cold War-something is my guess/hope (T 54's and 55's as far as the eye can see!)

But he did not say that while he was president, but during D-day

True enough, but it's still the same person. I'm sure John F. Kennedy had many things to say while he was on a PT boat in the Pacific during WW2, but people remember him more as the US President during the Cuban Missile Crisis. ;)

I don't think that this implies an Eisenhower Presidency Wargame. Between the Paradox 'storming the beaches' tweet and the fact that both quotes are specifically about Operation Overlord, WW2 is the obvious conclusion, possibly a game in a setting so limited as the North-Western European Campaign or even just Normandy. Besides, there's a perfect tweet if we wanted to invoke Eisenhower's presidency: "Next Week. #GDC17. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications."

HEAT rounds for everyone would be interesting. Assuming they are the best choice for most guns HE aside.
