Transport vs. Helo Tab meta

So this is something I'm curious about.. If anyone can explain the inner workings.

I'm guessing the prices are skewed, because Helo Tab units have better availability (per card)?

This is the most glaring example:

The Ka is superior in every way. More cards available, and can also transport infantry.

Why does this have to be a rule though? Why should the same/similar unit cost more than its counterpart in the Infantry tab? Your infantry transports includes all the same stats- except it can also transport infantry. That's battlefield versatility which should cost more. Though argubly- I rarely put infantry back into their transports after taking them out.

Otherwise same argument against the stupid rule that gives Recon Tab units free Romulan Cloaking devices and Optics over their vehicles tab counterparts.

It's like there is a tax imposed on the Helo tab under the assumption most purchases are an urgent response to a breached frontline for which you should be punished.

I re-use transports mostly for transporting CV inf. Definitely increases their value.

The biggest downside of the ka is that you need to pay 25 points for infantry you might not want.
It is balanced.

Because unit with '90 tag, using RPG from mid 60s it's stupid.
I'm using it with CV inf only. Maybe some players using it with VMF.

The helo tab is actually not too messed up as far as transport vs helo pricing goes. Its issue stems from mid tier gunships being over priced and those don't have transports equal to them anyway.

Because helorushers like you would otherwise abuse the cheap helo tab stuff.

Low-end helo tab is very standardized, you won't find a 6hp helo below 30 points, you won't find cheap 10hp helos period, and because AA always prioritizes armed helos, even the shittiest MG on a helo will cause the price to go up so it cannot be used as an effective meatshield. Any cheap helos with acceptable price you do find will be gimped in speed in order to make them useless for helorushing.

Transports don't have to have that drawback because although a ka-29tb costs 40, you can't actually buy 1000/40 at the start of the match so for helorush purposes and helorush purposes alone it may as well cost 65.
