And if you take away the TOWs and will reduce the price by 60 points ( 7.5 per TOW * 8 = 60 ) ?. The supercobra will become a helicopter exclusively AA.

I'm pretty sure your claim goes against basic math and game mechanics.

I'm glad you brought up basic math
Do you want me to explain you how vector calculation in 3 dimensions works?

The simplified version: supercobra has altitude advantage over ground aa, which, as the name implies, sits on the ground, which, by definition is further away from airborne targets than another airborne target.

Oh right, still < than 3850.

Also, you were talking about PIP III / M1 as well.

the words, "Basic math" don't prove anything, it's the actual math that support claims.

I want it to get Hydra or Zuni pods instead of TOWs ;)

to those I always said probably/maybe, never said definitely, at this point I'm actually wondering how much further exactly the supercobra can aim over the hawk.

someone check please and post screenshot

Even with range compression, I doubt the altitude advantage is significant enough to give it more range diagonally compared to the HAWK.

Either way you don't want them in the air in the first place, that's begging for them to get mortared or hit by a suicide jet or AA'd. Plus they need to be landed to get resupply, which with two rapid-fire missiles is basically always if you can somehow safely get them in range of the enemy planes. I guess you can make a habit of hiding them in forests but it's risky getting there and low altitude probably doesn't provide much of a bonus and you still have the supply problem.

In my experience, the best use of Super Cobra is to counter enemy AA Helos,

2 Super Cobra ahead of 4 DAP, With the rest of your starting points spent on a small insertion team.

Orders for Cobras,
-Turn off gun and TOW.
-Stack Attack Orders at the biggest AA helo threats with a order return to FOB to rearm and then move to a staging area near the front.

Order for DAPs
- Attack move at the enemy Helo Blob.

Profit most of the time.
