Watching Profile and Decks

Postby gumpialfonso » Sat 2 Apr 2016 17:50

Seriously, why you can still see profile-statistics and choosen decks?

Its extended the Waiting time enormously. A fast play with fun is not possible.

For example: My Stats were reseted, because a new PC and i have troubles to find a lobby.

I will always kicked out or nobody wants to play in my team.

I think that it's better to wait longer and get a more balanced game, than to play a lot matches which are basically decided before the game starts. It's more fun IMHO. The view profile option solution is not ideal, but it's the best way of balancing we have. Until Eugen decides to introduce proper matchmaking we have to live with this.

Besides, you know that you can copy your stats from the old computer?

And the fact that we can see the chosen deck is a good thing. You know that there is something wrong when the opposing team has only airborne decks... I think that this should be introduced to ranked games. Also realistically, opposing forces would have basic information about their enemy. The difference between an armoured or an armoured brigade is quite big.

But if i have the old computer anymore?

And a thing, i forgot. Wargame is based on multiplayer-technics from the 90s. One player with bad connection, can ruin the entire game. With a ping of 500, everyone can instantly leave. It has no sense.

How about . . . a feature to make a room with random teams along with this? where the random function has something like a formula to match the 2 sides by their stats something like scoring each player by matches played + win ratio + rank

Yes, Level is shown in profile though maybe Is quickest way too balance.
Seeing Deck Type is a nice feature, so when you join a lobby you know if you need too adjust yours looking at map and Settings. But they will also know what you do and won't see a Deck name either. In ALB you could definitely Get more twisted and Creative in openings as they have no idea what kind of Deck it is.

If you feel strongly enough, necro this. I've done it too many times myself.

I would very much dislike not being able to see my teammate and opponent deck choices and skill levels.

If you can't see deck choices you could walk into cheese games without knowing it and I think it's a good thing to have a general idea about what you're facing. It'll promote pubstomping because it helps teams get away with unconventional deck choices that randoms won't be able to counter.

If you can't see player stats then you'll walk into pubstomps and you won't know whether your teammates are competent. It makes it so there can't be any "noob games" or "average player 40-60%" games or anything like that which is based on stats. These seem to definitely help get balanced games.

I would like to see deck names just for fun. There's always the risk of inappropriate deck names but I think the mods will be able to deal with it and that the reward outweighs the risk.

The tracking of stats ruined this series.
Give the MiG-19PFM its 5600m Missile back!!
If Someone could tell the drivers of the T-72M1M's and T-72B's to close their hatches, cheers.
