Everyone is different. As much as I love MP, couple of hundred hours worth, I have double that in SP which I continue to play. I love the SP campaigns and would skip buying if only a MP release. ALB and RD campaigns I find fantastic and unlike any other game out there.

I've personally had multiple people say outright that they'd pay $15 for a Coop-campaign DLC that converted the set campaigns. But that is probably something of an anomaly given the folks involved.

I'm just giving you my side of the story without implying it is the full truth. I know that there are players that don't "consume" Wargame as we do. And I'm not implying that my way is better.

Also I'm not saying that the game should be oriented in PVE or PVP because Eugen has never told us which group is bigger.

I have the feeling, and yes I have no figures or quote on that, that a lot of PVP players forget that they are not alone and PVE players exist too.

I've had a small group of people I've been playing with since EE, almost exclusively coop, and we'd be very interested in anything like this. Don't underestimate the singleplayer community just because we're not as vocal.

As I sit and read this I am very sad.

Sad at the total lack of tolerance shown here. Sad at how the forums still retain a large number of trolls or people who hide behind internet anonymity as a method to be rude and abnoxious.

At the end of the day we all have the game. SP and MP ARE in the game. Both are viable ways to play and both have communities. Stepping iver to the mod sub forum and looking at some of the excellent campaign mods will show you that actually the SP group certainly is alive and well.... for the moment.

So. Stop and pause. Be poilte to each other. MP consider this, we have had map packs and 2 large nation DLCs for free. Lots of patches. We now got the 1st minor nation DLC.

Imagine how you'd feel if none of that had happened. MP would be pretty stale! Youd be wanting to ask for some kind of patch!

SP guys. A full blown Co-op patch might not ve the best first request. Maybe ask for updated Battlegroups? Or the option to customise BGs or anything. Keep it slightly smaller and narrower in focus. Something for $3-5. That means it is less of a risk for Eugen. Which they can use to show focus that investing in MP CoOp campaigns will sell well as a DLC.

At the end of the day though. There are individuals in this forum who are being uneccessarily harsh to each other. We are all humans. We are all gamers. Maybe be a bit nicer? The real world is ugly enough IMHO and (take it from someone who knows) it is only going to get even more ugly over the coming degades.

Or, you know, be the internet and flame me for trying to get people to calm down and be nice to each other. Im off for a Haircut and to get ready for the BBQ today so I care not.

Adding new nations is good, however, I'm also a co-op player who'd love to see a campaign mode like ALB's.

Perhaps a few players would pay for DLC that added it to the existing campaigns ? most wouldn't as they'd never use it.

However, a NEW campaign with single player and co-op/pvp MP would appeal to a wider base, might be economically viable and perhaps pay for the dev time/work needed to back port a co-op mode, etc. to an existing campaign as well.

For now, I've built 80 REDFOR and 100 BLUFOR decks to randomise in co-op skirmishes and has proved it's self to be a fair substitution for a proper co-op campaign.

Just chiming in for vs and coop multiplayer for RD, also the ability to customize campaigns, perhaps a campaign that is more balanced for vs multiplayer instead of being heavily biased to one side or the other. Offer this as paid DLC, people will buy it.

Can you read this below ? I mean of course my bet would be that the PVP community is bigger but I also think it isn't that much bigger and again I have no proof so I'm not patronizing anyone about my own belief.

I did the math for you :
Steamdb counts 1800 players in WRD, wargame count 1500.

This means that there are 300 playing not logged in playing solo or currently logging in. On a 1800 players community I find the probability that the majority of the 300 are logging in pretty slim.

Then there are 235 servers from which only about 30 are public servers (missed the count by one or two while scrolling) ! (PVE servers are always private)
the 30 servers put together represent 315 players !
Add up the 800 in the chat this makes :

About 300 playing campaign solo
315 playing PVP
800 in the chat not playing
385 playing in private servers

Well isn't that interesting ? in the end we can see that PVE might be the number one way of playing Wargame !
