Did Dutch have AIM-9Ms? I noticed the F-16 Block 15 has AIM-9Ms while I remember Scandinavia only had the L.

According to SIPRI the dutch only bought the FRG L version in 1985. Before that all they had was the A/B version.

At this website it tells the dutch f 16's used: AIM-9N, -9L, and -9M Sidewinder.
Look under armament.

Expanded search to include all arms transfers to the netherlands and not just missiles reveals AIM-9M delivered in 1993-4 so thats ok.

Does not list AIM-9Ns though. Only list AIM-9B in 1958. SIPRI is to my knowledge the most comprehensive arms transfer database in the world.

EDIT: AIM-9N is an upgrade to the AIM-9B that converted existing missiles so this could very well be the case if it was done in-country.

Edit of list then:

F-104G and NF-5A get AIM-9B,

F-16 block 1 and 5 gets AIM-9N (first AIM-9N was made in 1973)

The official dutch airforce site also dosnt mention the 9N version only the 9L and 9M version.

1: That was an unrealistic loadout

2: Consensus is that the current availability makes it way more usefull.

if they want to make the game more realistic they could try adding ERA for NATO tanks, since the M!A! and Chall 1 had it in 91

Oh you could also, you know, get infantry operated mortars and artillery since it wasn't limited to vehicles

Challenger 1 Mk.3 has ERA on the model (lower glacis) and has heavier armor to reflect this. M1 did not have it as standard during that period from what I can tell from images from desert storm. It does not seem to have become a regular feature untill recently. They have however modeled the DU armor addons.
