It was there, but it's not the trait you see today. They changed the scaling formula so auto cannons don't penetrate tanks at point blank anymore, a BTR could kill an M1A1 by getting up close and personal with its rear back in ALB.

Ohhh did not know this. It's fixed now?

The US should have non-marine shock infantry. Just rename light riflemen paratroopers for god's sake, it's hardly going to allow a US air deck to autokill, for instance, NSWP.

The 'technological superiority' stuff is as silly as a high AV leopard 1.

Not even the rear, <175 meters is auto pen for at least 1 damage IIRC.

Bum rushing heavies in forests was valid because the shooting starts at 350 meters and your KPVT transports only have 100 meters to go before they start chunking tanks for 2-3 hp/second.

Pretty much sums up my feelings. Really not going to break the game and it gives more deck options to US decks.

I remember the ALB BMPT would obliterate every single thing it ran into while in forests, including Challengers.

Give Humvees Gau-19 (USA Yak-B).

All issues with USA Motorised solved.
USA Airborne becomes slightly better.

Could you imagine all of the US infantry units riding around in humvees with Gau-19s on it. The thought makes me want to gag. A Gau-19 Humvee should be some niche vehicle for some niche unit. Same for the Mk.19 and M134 Humvee if they were to become transports.

By all technicalities we should still be using M35s. The M2 Humvee only gets by because of the 'no gunless transport rule' and that there are so many protos pressing on Y2K that the 'cold war' atmosphere that this game takes place in, just doesn't exist.

I do truly miss bringing rifleman in, in M35s.

Great point as well. I do feel like ALB (on release) had captured the cold war atmosphere, and since then it has slowly crept away from it. Not saying it's necessarily bad, just different.

Then go vomit up a storm- Gau-19s or no game balance.
