No More Single Nation Packs

Postby F-22 » Fri 24 Jun 2016 08:10

This is not a topic about the vote per say, this is a topic about the introduction of new nations and the very negative effects it has on gameplay and the state of Red Dragon lobby simulator in the initial 2 weeks of nations being released. The plan has already been laid for this round of DLC and it's way too late to change with the vote an all, but this topic is for any future rounds of nation DLC.

Accurate representation of the state of Red Dragon after the Israel DLC drops:

The point of this thread is basically to say, no more single nation packs. Please don't do a single Blufor or Redfor nation in a pack, do 2 nations minimum, one Red, one Blue so at least if people are only going to play the new faction there's actually people to fight against who are equally as eager to try out a new faction.

It's not fun to just have people swarm to Blufor or Redfor because they have the new nation, and despite having 4,000 people on halfway decent games are still sometimes really hard to come by.

Point being, at least one nation should be added on BOTH sides for nation DLC. It doesn't matter how many nations you add to each side with the DLC, it just needs to have a nation on BOTH Redfor and Blufor.

While true, I just enjoy getting easy games by playing whatever side the new nation wasn't added too

But yes, in general adding another reason for lobbies to take longer to turn into games is a very bad thing, all benefits of the nation packs aside.
If there's two kinds of players, those that like challenges and those that want a fair game, pubstomps should make everyone happy.

+1

I suggest you change the topic title into this

My first thought after reading the title (and before opening page to read op) was to think that asking for 6 Eur per nation is too expensive

The other side of such coin would be to delay DLC by a few months & a price increase of each DLC.
Is a few days of "new nation's fever" worth it? We don't think so ATM ...

 very funny, but maybe lobby hosts and hopfully a few 10v10 server will be bluefor battles once the DLC drops,
It's good to Israel vs Israel initially will likely make more people happy with their team if they plan to play lots of Israel initially. .
