What is mentioned here with recon should be fixed ASAP. It is basically is cheating - I do not care that available for all players - and ruins the recon concept of the current game with insta identifier capabiity.
I'm very sad that such huge error can be in the game after 2.5 yers of release.

Even without using the exploit, you can still ID a spotted target by zooming in and looking at the silhouette. It's not as quick and easy as the exploit, but if you have the memory for it you can still get by easily.
IMO they should use more generalized silhouettes.
Also, did you just discover that exploit?

I know but it is more time consuming and a T-72A does not look so different from a T-72B or T-72 Obr or BU to identify fast while with the shown medthod you get insta ID capbility while your recon cannot provide in the recon abstrction design.

Yes, another way is giving simply "class". Every tank shaped thing can be represendet with the same tank model. My only concern that displayed black thing are the same 3D model what you can see after spot just with overlayed black skin. In this case manually should make the fix for hundrends of units. I doubt Eugen will even do this.

Uh, the profile differences between the T-72A and the BU are very significant. What game are you playing where they look so similar?

That's pretty much what I said, just with a lot more words. O_o

OK, T-72A vs BU was to hard, but T-72B vs BU? Both has ERA as I can remember. So ,yes, in armory tab with skin is easy job. Just try to recognize the shape in woods without skin and colors in case you have only 2-3 sec to zoom. Comparing to this the cheat mode is very easy and 100% accurate.

Amen.

Just compare the turrets in the armory.

The T-72BU has a fairly distinct turret profile.
My mouth is moving, but nothing relevant is coming out. Also I cannot guarantee that my research is perfect or even remotely accurate.
