We need a Harrier with AMRAAMs in the UK deck

Postby CloakandDagger » Mon 3 Oct 2016 21:11

I am asking, as nicely as possible, for a Harrier with AMRAAMs. Preferably a reroll of the horrible SRAAM Harrier.

Why?

Because if this is added, a viable UK Marine Deck can be made, and even more importantly, an All-Harrier airforce can be made.

We will have Harrier-Rocketplanes, Harrier-Bombers, Harrier-SEAD, and, with this change, Harrier-ASF.

Please Eugen, I plead, no, BEG you, for a Harrier-AMRAAM.

Is this a Zombie Return of the infamous "British SEAD" ranting campaign?
Shall I kill that topic in that instant?

I don't know what that is, but if that is what it sounds like and successfully got us the Harrier-SEAD, I will be happy to continue campaigning for Harrier-AMRAAM.

Based on "British SEAD campaign" efficiency, you can expect your change to be considered in about 18 months. :twisted:

I'd rather see this happen to the UK's air tab:

Tornado F.2 -> Tornado GR.4 (clone of Tornado ECR but with ALARMs instead of HARMs, 150 pts, 2 cards of 1)
Spoiler : :
ADV F.2 never had a radar, just a weight in its nose to keep the center of gravity the same. There's no reason for it to be represented when the F.3 is in the same price bracket and was actually capable of ASF duty.F.3 could lose 2 AIM-9s and go down to 125-130 to make room for a Sea Harrier ASF

Sea Harrier FA.2 (SEAD) -> Sea Harrier FA.2 (ASF with 2 AMRAAM and 2 AIM-9M, Prototype, 140 pts, 1 card of 2)
Spoiler : :
With the Gr.4 taking over SEAD duties the FA.2 can become a '90s Marine ASF equal to the Yak-141.

Jaguar Gr.1 -> Jaguar Gr.1B (LGB Bomber with 2 GBU-12 and 2 AIM-9Ls, 85 pts, 1 card of 2)
Spoiler : :
Makes what is otherwise unused aircraft into a useful one and allows the Gr.7 to take on another, more flavorful role.
Harrier Gr.7 (LGB Bomber) -> Harrier Gr.7 (ATGM and Rocket, 2 AGM-65F Mavericks and 2x19 CRV-7 rocket pods, Prototype, 140 pts, 1 card of 2)
Spoiler : :
Would give the CMW deck an option other than the Kahu for a high-end ATGM plane which would also be unique in carrying ATGMs and rockets, allowing it to panic and stun a target even if it misses both missiles.

Mostly the same estimate as between RD's DLC #3 & Nation Pack #1 ... :twisted:
