Question is since when production numbers are a factor for ingame availability...

5 Patriot per card
7 Otomatic per card
13 Maglan + Nun Nun per card
3 F-14 per card
3 SU-27M per card
4 EF-111 per card
12 Lstr-40 per card
4 Burantino per card
24 Mot Schutzen + BMP-1 SP1 per card...and three cards of them

I can maybe see such a pricing rule for tanks only, but it is gamebreaking when applied to all units.

well, the idea is to take away availability as pricing.

"this unit is really good, but you only get 4/3/2/1/whatevdr, so its ok"

with equal points per card, you could see stuff like longbow go to 160 each. su27m 250. whatever.

in an ideal world, you could then make everything not a prototype 2 cards, protos being one.
:mid-match connecting(matchmaking), LoS bubble(Ruse), interchangeable loadouts, moving in formations different ranges for altitudes, 1$ price increments, tank/copter ecm, 5/6 weapon slots, and 10 player deathmatch nukemode

I dunno, there are three basic tools used for balancing in WG: unit stats, pricing, and availability. Seems to me like tying two of these together arbitrarily would make balancing more difficult. Maybe it would be good as a starting point for availability/pricing and adjust as required.

They aren't. So there is no sense for red tanks be lower in numbers that blue.

Exactly this, which is why I keep asking for tank availability fix on patches :(

Never, but we do enjoy beating up our strawmen.

Would it be fair to give worse tanks within the same 5 point interval more availability?

T-72A is flat out better than T-72M, so we knock the availability of T-72A down a notch, or T-72M1 up a bit.

Well, it used to be that way with low-cost transports.
