Should DDR Leave Eastern Bloc?

Postby Seryn » Thu 8 Dec 2016 00:12

Self Explanatory, If DDR remains in NSWP, National Decks cannot be buffed, We had a similar problem because of SOVKOR weakening North Korea, or rather, they weren't able to be self dependant, DDR is in a slightly better spot, but i still feel DDR Armored is an Exercise in Masochism. No Superheavies, a pair of decent Heavies. and Mot. Schützen. well......that is a pretty sad lineup....

So then they would be a standalone nation? If it's going to be as strong as USSR or Israel it's going to need a lot of buffs.

Minors are not supposed to be completely self dependant. Even then a DDR mechanized deck is not weak compared to other mechanized decks, so it's already quite strong.

No, no it should not.
If there's two kinds of players, those that like challenges and those that want a fair game, pubstomps should make everyone happy.

Nah. Eastern Bloc is pretty much the perfect example of how a coalition in the game should work — multiple weaker nations come together to combine their strengths and cover their weaknesses in order to create a force stronger than its individual parts. Everyone brings something to the table — Germany brings mechanized infantry and Soviet imports, Poland brings mobile infantry and tanks, and the Czechs bring tanks and recon. All three contribute to the other tabs together, and thus one of the best decks in the game is formed.

Besides, DDR's lack of heavy tanks is pretty irrelevant when they make a mean mechanized deck with the T-72S1s and tons of Mot.-Schützen.
