Never mind, Orkan has a slightly smaller dispersion radius than Smerch.
I've done the test at 33km. It's like 20m smaller radius though, barely noticeable.
Edit: Forget it, it's due to veterancy.

The aimtime on the other hand: Smerch and Uragan start firing , Uragan finishes salvo, Smerch fires last rocket while Orkan starts firing in this order.

ROF is like Smerch. It could go up if limited to 1.

More details on how the CCD system for fire correcting works.

CCD camera films in visual and near infrared and takes data at the end of active flight phase (the time just before the engine burns out). Data are the coordinates of the actual position of the rocket compared to the reference plane, which is then compared to the calculated positions of the rocket. The difference is corrected, and the vehicle transmits the corrected firing solution to all other vehicles in the battery.

More testing, finally have some time for this game:

The rule for heavy MLRS seems to be:

Smerch min range ≈ 8.4km
M270 MLRS min range ≈ 8.4km

Orkan min range ≈ 9.8km

Forget the realism argument, consistency solves the problem.

Combined with Orkan's 30sec aimtime, it's just an oversight I guess.

ROF of MLRS, Smerch and Orkan is ≈22s for one salvo. This shouldn't be changed IMHO. Let's keep it in line with other stuff.

The accuracy thing on the other hand... the other heavy MLRSes don't have this feature at all, like mounted on the launcher itself, battery balist. computer independent and optical tracking :?

MLRS comes at 2 availability, Smerch at 1, Orkan is really borderline. I would put it at one, but there should be a reason to fill up a support slot with it. One acc/dispersion decrement would do the trick.

Orkan is not worth the deck slot if it comes solo and keeps long aim time.
The fact that it has less AP than smerch means you need to use both to shoot at stuff to have a reasonable chance of killing anything before it runs away.

The long aim time is just a mistake. There's plenty of reasons for 10s.

If the spread would be 3640m it would have some quality on it's own. No 8AP but less shells missing.
But I could be wrong :P

1 per card is a bit too much for this cluster thing that, at least in my case, actually is not killing a lot of stuff (I literally had more success with 4Xlar-160 than 4XOrkan), if the dmg would go up, yes - this way - nope. Aim time buff - hell yeah, and if not IRL firing distance, then it should be at least at least ~7km would be hip hip hooray, since it is ridiculous for it ti have 9800m minimum range.

Neat thing that I found, but inapplicable in Wargame:

NORA-A re-bored to 160 mm with shortened barrel, firing 160 mm mortar shells (40 kg). 1992.

Also, another interesting thing. Yugoslavia, apparently, didn't use HEAT shell for SO-122 Gvozdika. It used a HESH shell instead for direct-fire purposes.

It would be interesting to have a direct fire mode with HE.

Beside 90, 100, 105 and 122 mm HESH, also, there was a 125 mm HESH round too. Fun curiosity!
