New update: Steam friend system

Postby eug_begonia » Tue 10 Oct 2017 10:54

Wargame: Red Dragon has been updated. Here is the (short) patchlog:
  • The friend system is now using Steam friend list.
The same update is now downloadable for Wargame: Airland Battle, Act of Aggression - Reboot Edition.

Have fun!

Very nice,

But I really wish you guys would either release a new map pack, or at least release the tools so we can build maps for the game.

I have a bunch of maps I created from the original game that I would love to convert over. But we cant do that unless you guys give us the tools to do it.

So, just to confirm, if I want to friend someone from RD or ALB, I must add them to my steam friends list?

Final nail in the coffin for my old friends on Wargame I guess :(

lets get this strait:

either there wont be a wargame 4, so you have to close your ingame-user-mgt
OR
the next wargame will use a better ingame-user-mgt, which you cant connect with the old one...which is working (so even sd44 will receive a patch?)

either no wg4 or worse usrmgt? i think the first one is more possible...

i guess ill get surprised then!

btw: usrmgt via steam is crap...jm2c

Does it show if other people are playing different games in WG:RD now?

Think you have what it takes to enlist into the military? You sure about that?

when i saw steam update quickly, i reminisced of the times i would fawn over small data changes that affected wargame greatly. i clicked on steam, and saw to my surprise it was actually a red dragon patch. i then rushed to the forum, like in days of old to see the new change list. now i am here.

final balance patch ever?
:mid-match connecting(matchmaking), LoS bubble(Ruse), interchangeable loadouts, moving in formations different ranges for altitudes, 1$ price increments, tank/copter ecm, 5/6 weapon slots, and 10 player deathmatch nukemode

Thank you Eugen that you still take care of Red Dragon!

I don't think erasing everyone's friendlists ingame would be considered "taking care" by anyone's standards.
