Soundwolf776 wrote:Not sure if it's modding tool issue, but editing the stuff like ExperienceBonus collection of TDeckRulesModifier class and than saving the .dat file corrupts it. Game crashes on loading, and keeps crashing when I revert the changes manually. :?

To be precise, I've changed the second integer in ExperienceBonus collection in instance 64978 of TDeckRulesModifier.

On which version did you make the changes?

The very latest patch - 1495. Ok, yeah, I think I've read somewhere (was it DM guide?) "do not tweak the latest version", heh...

I think the second integer correspond to how much experience bonus you give to the selected category (the first integer) and since most of the time a single experience bonus is enough to be able to get elite troops, then if you had a deck in which you had elite troops in the selected category then they get an undefined veterancy. It may have corrupted said decks and the game crashes when it tries to load them (or a computer's).

Try manually deleting your decks and restart the game.

This is an uneducated guess btw.

Some unexpected results but in a way, it worked....

what does it look like when it engages air targets? does it shoot a tank shell at them?

Nothing, nothing happens. Just that the challenger looks at it and it dies after a bit...

Also tried to mount the Tunguska gun on the T80B, managed to merged it again with the main gun....

Yeah, it definitely seems like it.

Try manually deleting your decks and restart the game.

Interesting idea, will try if not fall asleep right now.

Yeah but now that I think about it you can't delete the IA decks so it might be useless...

And suddenly I can't find where the decks are stored and, to my fullest embarrasment, can't even seem to google it up. :(

On a more positive note, it's nice to know that changing activation points work.

I thought they were stored in the same folder as the replays but it's actually in a data file. Forget what I said. :/

Your decks are in the profile files, same folder as replays. Computer and campaign decks are in the data files.

Well the profile is for me at: \Steam\userdata\2346410\222750\remote

This file has a "SAV0" header, at offset 68 starts a zipped block, if you just use zlib to unzip this block you get a raw .ndfbin which can be opened via file -> open in the modding suite (select *.* all files) Tho, editing wont be possible if you open it like this.

Return to “Modding”
