I made a Syrian T-34/85 skin for World of Tanks, and getting the air identification marking to work (it was a big white circle, half of which on a raised area of the tank, located in a different part of the skin file) was a tedious nightmare.

Yeah, it ain't easy to rework texture palettes you didn't create and introduce your own quirks ;) . Takes some figuring out to do.

God that's even worse than the WoT skin. I envy your patience.

I can see why these colour patterns didn't make it into the full game.

Still, I'm glad this mod exists for those who want authenticity! :D
A brilliant plan from the dirtiest euro-hippie: get US players to pay me for a game that I then show them how much their military sucks so I can feel better about being a communist.

I wanted to give the paint-jobs a bit more variety whenever I could, just to prove to Eugen that you don't need to have a rainbow of colors to make the units distinguishable and interesting.

Its also an homage to this:

With vehicle you can at least tell where texture starts and where it ends. Planes however... :?

Decipher that...

Good job! I like it.
But just one thing, is it possible to add abit of weathering and make them feel a little bit 'used'.
It seems like they rolled out of the garage!

Nice job anyway, can't wait for DL!

Sure, all is possible, but there are 128+ textures, so I won't be doing that, at least not off the bat.

GLORIOUS ;)
someone should make a "realistic textures modpack" with all the community work together and upload it somewhere (maybe Focus can help)
