That could be good. I contacted RED about maybe combining our textures together, but never got an answer, which means they are working on something atm.

Re: Soviet Skins Supreme
Completed BMP-1 line and BMP-2 line. BMP-2 is the single most boring line of vehicles being a post 1970's vehicle I can't really alter the textures and the models aren't diverse at the slightest
.

Re: Soviet Skins Supreme
Looks abit glossy actually, is it a game thing? Just curious.
but nice job!
Were you going for this kind of look?

Re: Soviet Skins Supreme
Its my graphics settings I think, since the actual BMP-2 is a lot less glossy then the BMP-1 textures. I really wanted to do this:

or this type of texture for BMP-2D:

But then I realised I have T-55/T-72 and T-80 lines virtually untouched so I decided to stick with the basics. That is to say BMP-2's are sort of glossy IRL, this particular one from Afghanistan: http://otvaga.narod.ru/Otvaga/armour-ru ... mp2_99.jpg

Re: Soviet Skins Supreme
You can control glossines by modyfing the alpha channel. I guess, that the bright areas on alpha channel are rendered as a glossy by the game. So if you want to make a texture more matte you have to tone down them.
Though from what I see, there is not much to tone down for BMP-2s.

Re: Soviet Skins Supreme
When did the Soviet started to use more elaborated camo for their vehicules? I thought they started to do this in the 2nd half of 1980.

Post 1984 production vehicles came camo'd up from the factories, while a large amounts of vehicles already in service remained unpainted for quite a while.

The white outline was elegant.
Yeah, I wanted to do at least one unit like that, but then it takes too much work
