^Woah, did you really develop Blitzkrieg for CoH?

My friends and I played that mod to death...we all agree it's one of the best games ever.

Well, the founder was Xalibur, but i know him personally and i also coded and was main tester and leading for the path the mod took, especially in terms of balancing.

So that is the reason why i want an "enhancement mod" and no complete new setting or total conversion mod.

And this is Graphic's doing with the 90's US Infantryman, (I'll have to ask him for permission before I formally incorporate his instead of mine so it's not final).

Everything will be realistic in terms of gameplay for the units themselves, and doctrines will be embraced; but at the end of the day it will be alternate history in the 1991-1995 realm of things. That means ideas, units, and toys will be centered around the "what if" based on what is possible and could have happened based on the unit philosophies and changing doctrines of that time.

For example the US will get the "Stryker", not the exact Stryker, but the one the Army was interested in according to several DOD documents I've read in the past 24 hours. The Bison / LAV-25 style transport was something the US Army was really interested in at the very edge of the cold war. The story will justify all of these unique units like the Eurofighter, Eurotiger, etc. Since the US doesn't have anything in particular reinforcing it's late cold war changes in thought, I'll introduce the "Stryker" as the M1126 ICV.

The story behind that particular unit is the 9th ID wasn't deactivated in 1991 and the US Army wanted to retrofit the entire division with a transport based off the operational experiences of the LAV-25 in Grenada and Panama. (Panama in particular is partially what brought about the US Army's desire for a wheeled transport so late in the cold war.) This led to a a well-armed and well equipped US Motorized Division.

So, while everything will be realistic TOE aside from a few late-era changes.

M1126-ICV - transport
M1130-C2 - Command
M1129-M - Mortar
M1134-AT - TUA
M1127 - Recon

Sort of like how a lot of other countries have gotten unique units that I won't throw out like the Yak-141 or Marksman variants.

Long as the nations in question do not rely on the Prototypes to be viable.
