I'm under the impression the Far-Eastern troops encountered in the Bear Versus Dragon campaign would be at best equipped with T62's, with T72's maybe arriving late in the conflict. Does this seem reasonable?

That is aside from KGB border regiments, who would just be wheeled stuff and infantry/recon guys I assume. What could be best used to represent them?

Well, far eastern u its would indeed have worse equipement. These lists are the theoretical composition. I think bmps would be scarse as well and armoured formations would have t-62s as well. Just out of consistency, you should keep one tank model for each regiment. There were no mixed t-64 t-80 tank regiments. As for the kgb units, one i finish the division level orbats they slot in really well there. Together with helicopter squadrons and air defense bttns. Latter today i will update the list if my hangover allows XD

Chinese tank unit are smaller but have lot more of them per diversion i think total tank number for a armor division is about 310-320 tank . will update when i have more information. :D

I am surprised about the lack of chinese marines in this campaign though.

Sorry, I've been postponing any update or further work until the DLC comes out due to inevitable incompatibility issues. I'll mainly just do unit composition tweaks for the Bear vs Dragon campaign, and hopefully something more interesting for the Jewel of the Orient campaign (but not sure).

The USSR vs Japan/US campaign oddly would be very straightforward to mod, but in the process make Japan's real-life weaknesses VERY apparent in terms of the units you'd be facing :P

Since the Pusan campaign is just sort of a tutorial campaign, I dont think there's been much call for it to be modded, but I think its doable of course.

well Iv come from men of war this game is a real shocker to mod and I really see to reason for it

Men of war used the same file types as these

But they had definition files which you could fiddle with using not pad.

so if you wanted to give a unit more Ammo no problem give it more armour sure change the rate of fire sure thing. none of this

Naah MoW was totally different. You'd just open a pak file with Winrar and change it with a text editor. We all wish it was that easy here :(

Seems like it would be balanced if all you get as the USSR is time appropriate marine and paras. Of course there is the US too to throw in some extra difficulty.

just tryied to do the bear vs dragon and gave up, I just can't find a way to beat the T-80 and T-72a formations not with what you been given,

can't use air craft because they got really good AA All the tanks you have are completely inferior to the t-72a, Can't effectively snipe them with AT-missles because there covered by there's which have 400m more then yours and as soon as AT launchers get shot at they panic and Accuracy goes out the window, and even the best AT infantry's recoiles rifles can't pierce the front of ether of those tanks.

I might try and sucker them into attacking the harbour and try using the marine fleet attachments to try blowing up there but iv not much hope doing that I think there programed to stop advancing right before the harbour so you can't do that.
