T-72B/B1 with Explosive Reactive Armour! [REL v.345]

Postby Bryan » Fri 30 May 2014 12:52

DUE TO THE NUMBER OF DESYNCS, THIS MOD IS PUT ON HOLD UNTIL A SOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND. DO NOT USE THE MOD, LINK HAS BEEN REMOVED UNTIL FIX.
Greetings Comrades!
Its high time the T-72B and T-72B1 got its rightful Explosive Reactive Armour! And by doing a simple model swap, I have restored the ERA on the T-72B.

CONTROL+ S
Copy and paste into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wargame Red Dragon\Data\WARGAME\PC\430000345
Done!

Note
This mod only works for the current game version specified, using an old game version will not work, I will try and keep it updated with the patches.

Now, you are ready to crush some HATO SCUM in style!!!!!

Shout out to the modders out there for helping me with this!

Edit: OKAY!!!!! I THINK...I THINK...I have solved the desync issue, I am using another NDF file that WAB:NOOB gave me instead of my own. I hope it works.

Dare I request the Obr. 1989 swapped with the T-90S?

I got some asyncronous games today, would only notice because I was on comms with my teammates. The game would run maybe 90% syncronous, so during the first games we did not notice. But then irregularities appeared - they saw units that were not there (airplanes), and also some superheavies. My team then "won" a session in a 4v4, which continued for 20 minutes "after I left". To the enemy it appeared as if I had ragequit. I wonder if that was a general thing, or because of the fileswap.

Here is a screenshot to this particular session.

Is this because of this fileswap? I only used "West Germany skins" by modder Vasto beside that. He claims his skin-exchange was MP compatible. The fileswap of this mod seems much more radical. However, I am not sure, I may be wrong. The original file is 19mb, the file you provide around 6mb, btw.

Please take a few minutes to check it out, and what may be wrong. Because thisidea is awesome.

I will take a look, and as for T-90S/ Obr 1989, I will see what I can do ;)

damn that's really nice. however, I might hold off until you check into that desync thing. not sure how it could possibly be smaller. could have been the fact that someone on the other team had some sort of mod, but it seems odd the file sizes would be off.

was it just that one game that desynced Ritterlich or multiple games?

I checked the desync, it seems fine on my end, all my NDF files are 6mb. I think the desync issue only applies to the WILK version, not so sure about whether it applies to the Obr 1987 version. I tried both, both are fine.....but I currently use the 87 version no problems.... :?

Don't forget to back up your original NDF file incase of a mishap.

really? mine was 19.5...

maybe custom skins increase the size of the file? only thing I could possibly think of. This one is a mystery to me lol
