Joe Friday: Ah, sure, but just like every other foaming, rabid psycho in this city with a foolproof plan,
you've forgotten you're facing the single finest fighting force ever assembled.
Reverend Jonathan Whirley: The Israelis?

Really great deck, as long as you really like Pattons.

LOG

    Humvee
    Jeep
    M577 CPC
    TACOM in Humvee, UH-1H, UH-60
    CMD M60A1
    CH-53
    HEMTT

INF
Note: the only squads in the game with the M240 are Light Riflemen 75/90 and Rangers, so you'll have to suffer the M60 for most.

Riflemen and Riflemen 90 in Humvees, M113A1/A3, UH-1H, UH-60 (AT4 on Riflemen 90 stands in for MATADOR)
Light Riflemen in Humvees and UH-60
    LAAD Redeye in Humvees, M113A1/A3, UH-1H, UH-60
    Stinger A/C in Humvees, M113A1/A3, UH-1H, UH-60
RBS 56 in TGB m/42 or HKP 3C (stand-in for Spike)
Haebyung and Delta Force in Humvee or UH-1H (generic representation of Israeli commandos and assault/shock troops)

RECON

    Humvees
    Jeeps
Alouette III (stand-in for Alouette II)
    Kiowa series (except perhaps Warrior)
    Rangers in UH-1H, UH-60

TANKS

Every single Patton tank in the game, except for the Starships.
M60A1 ERA is your best tank, a Magach 6B with BLAZER.
Unfortunately the Super M60 is a prototype, otherwise it'd make a lovely stand-in for the Magach 7.

If you want to cheat, the best way to represent the Merkava is probably the Leopard 2, 2A1 and 2A4 for I, II and III.

SUPPORT

    K107
    M109 (any)
    M110 (any)
M270 MLRS (French, German or British)
    M163 VADS/PIVADS (Hovet/Machbet)
    Hawk (any)

VEHICLES

All TOW/I-TOW/TOW-2 ITVs, jeeps, Humvees, etc.
All recoiless rifle jeeps and M113s
M163 CS (Hovet/Machbet aiming at the ground)
    M728 CEV

HELO

    AH-1S
    AH-1F
AH-1T (I assume Israel has TOW-2 capability with their Cobras)
    AH-64A
Possibly Hog and Heavy Hog; I'm not sure how Israel's Hueys were used beyond transportation.

PLANES
Note: I assume literally any variant of the American planes are legit to include in an Israel deck, with all the ugrades they did)

F-15A "Baz" (or F-15J if you want two)
    F-15C "Baz"
    F-15D (Strike Eagle) "Ra'am"
    F-16A "Netz"
    F-16C "Barak"
    Mirage IIIC "Shahak"
Mirage 5F (stand-in for Kfir and Nesher)
    A-4 Skyhawk "Ayit"
    F-4 "Kurnass"

My deck

With Merkava ! It's obliged to have it  ;)

So, with a bit of research, here's my recommendations for an IDF in Wargame 3, version 639

LOG
    Humvee
    Jeep
    M577 CPC
TACOM in Humvee, Huey, or Blackhawk
    CMD M60A1
    CH-53
    HEMTT
    M35

INF
For Infantry weapons, I suggest the following for guidelines in choosing your squads
Aug Para or L85 as a stand in for Tavor
CG M2/3 or SMAW is a stand-in for B-300/Shipon; LAW 80 or AT4 as a MATADOR stand-in, though this is a recent development, and not a Cold-War one.
    L7 or C6 for M240/FN MAG
    Minimi/M249 stand-in for IMI Negev (5.56mm SAW)
    Any CAR-15/M16/AKM/FAL/L1A1 variant
M72 LAW variants, and all Stinger variants

Riflemen (any) in Humvees, M113A1/A3, UH-1H, UH-60 (AT4 on Riflemen 90 stands in for MATADOR)
Light Riflemen (any) in Humvees, UH-1H/N and UH-60
    LAAD Redeye in Humvees, M113A1/A3, UH-1H, UH-60
    Stinger A/C in Humvees, M113A1/A3, UH-1H, UH-60
RBS 56 in TGB m/42 or HKP 3C (stand-in for Spike)
    US Marines in UH-1N (only)
Diggers (any) in M113s (30/30s illustrate the continued used of the M1919 is Israeli reserves)
Fusiliers ('90 variant if you squint) in FV432 (M113 stand-in) or Warrior (reg or '90, no milans). Saxons can serve as a generic Armored car if you like, but their appearance is rather unique.
Delta/Haebyung in Hueys/Humvees, or Paras '90 in Saxons for commandos.
SMAW also works if you want to illustrate the anti-personnel capabilities of the B-300/Shipon
Note: I am aware Israel doesn't field Autocannons, but the RARDEN is lousy enough that it's an appropriate stand-in for the 3-4 GMPGs that Israel would normally throw on their tank-based IFVs, so I think you can get away with it. Use it like the Israelis do, to get your troops in to a hot zone safely, and you'll do OK.

SUPPORT
M125 (81mm mortar); alas, the 120mm variants are all towed, and the current SP 120mm Israel has is a modern development
    M109 (any)
    M110 (any)
M270 MLRS (French, German or British)
    M163 VADS/PIVADS (Hovet/Machbet)
LVKV fm/43 stand-in for static Bofors L/70 gun (and with it's autonomy, it's better that way anyways)
    Hawk (any)
A main disadvantage of the Israeli Air Defense is the lack of IR AA vehicles. If you want to simulate the Machbet with it's 4 Stinger missiles, you can try to get away with adding the Avenger in to represent this mobile capability, but otherwise we're stuck.

TANK
Any Patton variant (incl. M48, M60) except Starships
M60ERA, a Magach 6B with BLAZER (Thanks Graphic!)
as before, a Super M60 would make a lovely Magach 7, but alas, prototyped
    Any Centurion variant
Any non-missile T-55 variant (except, we're BLUFOR) (spoils of war)
K1 represents the Merkava I and II with it's upgraded M68A1 gun
Challenger 1 Mk.3 represents the uparmored Merkava III with the IMI 120mm gun (not smoothbore, but who's to know?)
The Merkava I has a turret roughly the shape of an IKV 91, but that platform is a misrepresentation of it's capabilities, unfortunately. Feel free to use more K1s to make up for the loss of an entire tank model

RECON
    Humvees
    Jeeps
Alouette III (stand-in for Alouette II)
    Kiowa series (except perhaps Warrior)
Rangers (no V-150 or Chinook); other recon inf like Pathfinders (in M35s) or even Jaegere '90 if you're willing to pretend the Jupiter is an M35
Norforce and other infantry that adhere to the weapons and transport rules should also be fine
    AMX-13 if you're feeling nostalgic
If you really want, you can probably throw in the AH-1G, but there's no precedent for it (and no evidence to the contrary).

VEH
All TOW/I-TOW/TOW-2 ITVs, jeeps, Humvees, etc.
All recoiless rifle jeeps and M113s
M163 CS (Hovet/Machbet aiming at the ground)
    M728 CEV

HELO
All non-SeaCobra Cobra variants (AH-1E/F/J/S/T, US and others)
    AH-64A
Possibly Hog and Heavy Hog; I'm not sure how Israel's Hueys were used beyond transportation.

AIR
    F-15A "Baz" or F-15J
    F-15C "Baz"
    F-15D (Strike Eagle) "Ra'am"
    F-16A "Netz"
    F-16C "Barak"
    Mirage IIIC "Shahak"
Mirage 5F (stand-in for Kfir and Nesher)
    A-4 Skyhawk "Ayit"
    F-4 "Kurnass"
