Re: Better call it Alpha?
We haven't even played it yet and people are already trying to label it and judge it, sigh.....
Re: Better call it Alpha?
Guys lets just save all the judgements for when we play it.
This is why we are here, the game needs some testing so the devs can give us a polished, beautiful game.
I want that, others want that. So lets go into this positive and not judging the book by its cover.

doesnt it count as: "two in 2vs2"?
Given the 2v2 maps are fundamentally different (2 teams of 2 fighting vs 4 people FFA), I would say no.
To be more clear, I guess the text should read :
one 1v1 map
one 2v2 map
one 4 players FFA map
At least that's what I'm getting from it.

one 1v1 map
one 2v2 map
one 4 FFA + 2v2
third map is for 2 gamemodes.

They aren't.
These features are simply intentionally withheld from the QA team which you guys are supposed to work similarly to.
See you're supposed to test the basic functionality of the software as well as the networking component. In other words, prove that you won't get lost in the menus, that the game won't crash on PC configurations not available to the QA team and that it will reliably match, connect and play the game for people who try to do so outside the aforementioned QA team and devs themselves who are more likely than not going through a single server, not connecting people across many places in the world even internationally between a lot of networking hubs.
Similarly, the intent of this test is not aimed at stuff like "balance" so even if all the factions were in and playable (which they are), the devs cut them out so you wouldn't get distracted doing stuff you're not supposed to.
Is the explanation good enough?

There seems to be more to do than just some "polishing, fine tuning and may include some bugs". Even if these things are already available in your internal builds, they need testing as well.
Standard Eugen strategy. Release a game half complete. Release a couple free dlcs that add easy extras without addressing core problems, maybe promise some fixes and never deliver, then move on to the next game. Always more suckers out there.
