Solved: Refineries not working

Solved:

Refineries must not be build "on" resource fields, but next to them.
If the resource is below the refinery itself, it will not produce.

Resource Fields have to be inside the white square, not inside the green blocks.

I thought the same thing. I noticed in my next game the resource storage at the base was full, so my trucks were just waiting at the door and not returning to the refinery.

Just did some testing, I can have as many LEM as I want, some Refineries will just stop producing, even though there are aluminium fields below.

Same here. Refinery's start producing and then suddenly stop. I then have to sell it off and build another refinery elsewhere and that works for about 5 minutes until it suddenly stops producing.

Is this a bug or a as designed type of thing?

You run out of aluminum eventually, *the blue rocks on the ground should dissapear around the refinery until it is depleted
