@ Brutoni
4 from your 6 pictures are just screenshot and not the player sight.
Here the zoom level on player sight on "classic" RTS games! It has nothing to do with they game engine of this games IT SUPPOSED TO BE SO CLOSE...

Totally agreed, but well being a beta this may be changed, I think

You realize that people already have issues finding their units with the current zoom level ?

You realize that people have issues fighting with the current zoom level ?

That is Eugen's problem anyway and low zoom lock is hardly the mean to fix it. They wanted single soldiers? They have single soldiers.

That's quite a lot actually...

I realise what it would mean, as I wrote in the rest of my post poeple won`t have to use it all the time, rather they wouldn`t have to use it ever, if they don`t like it. So basically all it would do is offer more options which people can choose to use or not to.

With ceiling I meant the max zoom possible, people might quickly switch to it to get an overview and then go out of it. When they are looking for single units they probably would use a zoomlevel around the current zoom-ceiling.

I agree, zoom should allow to be higher. Not like Wargame of course but a bit. Right now it's sometimes even hard to be able to see all ressources on the screen to place a raffinery. Some big buildings like the raffinery or banks take half or more of the screen.

I know AoW was like this, I played it, but it was ten years ago...

I would like for the camera to be able to be free floating so that if we want we can get the camera to give a ground view that is completely horizontal.

At the moment the camera when zoomed down low is set at around a 45 degree angle rather than 90 degree so you can't get a visceral immersive view like you can in the Wargame series. :(

AoA =/= Wargame. This should explain enough I think?

Make the zoom 25 percent farther back.
