Hate to say it, but:
To me this game feels too "Comic" like with no realistic feeling at all (this is not about the futuristic setting itself, it is about the presentation).
If the final game won't feel more realistic than that, I'll be through with it after a week I guess.

Considering how this game feels and what the mechanics seem to be like, I don't think they are going for realistic with this one.

A video option to tone down things would definitely help.

I agree,It is to comic like.I want a hardcore looking military game.This looks like it was made for kids. Act of war high treason is better than this so far.unless some serious changes I wont be buying this.

I think, especially for ppl coming from wargame, the reason for this is the ratio of unit-size to engagement- and recon-range. unfortunately this can`t really be changed.

Yeah it just seems like a simple brawl in comparison.
I wish it would be more like a futuristic Wargame with base/resources.

I was thinking AOA will be exactly like this, that they will take wargame game mechanics and scale, but add base building and mining. Until played beta and got disappointed

A couple after effect filters would help and be a relatively simple option.
The attack animations on some units do feel more cartoony than they did in Act of War, then again maybe my memory is playing tricks. (Thinking of the NLOS Javelins in particular).
