To me they seem kind of useless. Because there are way more powerfull units available by the time you have unlocked them.
They also seem to be primarily designed to fight infantry, which isn't really a problem anymore by time can get deltaforce.

Re: Deltas
I have to agree, Deltas seem indeed useless.
In a testmatch I've rushed an enemy base woth just 3 phalanx with 5 V22 and 60 Deltas.
End of the story were 60 dead deltas and 5 destroyed V22 without destroying ANYTHING.
HOWEVER, I'd say they would be very usefull if you'd have to clear out entrenched Infantry because so far the only thing Inf out of buildings effectivly are snipers. I havent tested phosphor mortars yet but the normal ones are useless against entrenched inf, which is okay I guess but back to the Deltas.
With an upgrade they become lethal anti Inf AND anti tank units. I expect them to be very usefull inside of cities, however the maps we've seen so far dont give you much reason to cap them.
Maybe we as players dont see the advantage of Deltas yet, but a Defcon 1 unit which requires 100 RE when Abrams are alredy roaming the streets just seem like a waste of ressources. On the other hand, except from the B2 its iirc the only UNIT that requires RE, and ONLY RE.

Re: Deltas
They also have the potential to get LAW's which makes them multi-purpose.
Delta are very powerful anti-infantry units and they can capture and seize buildings. Seizing is a lot more useful then you would think. They won't fill the role of an Abrahams, but then again - that's what the Abrahams are for. Infantry fill a different role and the Delta's are improved Marines with versatility.
I would suggest some more testing, try out their limits. They might be a bit lackluster, but I think we should take some more time before concluding anything.

+1 totally agree

Re: Deltas
I tried to delta only small scale, but this is against tanks at improving?
Anyway I think abrams are too strong.
The infantry think that only serves to occupy buildings and become strong and for the first minutes of game, then we lose importance against helicopter tanks etc.

Re: Deltas
The problem might also be that infantry doesn't have any cover outside of houses. It would be neat if they were able to use rocks/forrests to hide or take cover.

They should just be more expensive in Money/Aluminium.

Re: Deltas
Well, what do you expect?
Delta still has upgrade to m72!

Re: Deltas
Not really, they should act as late game main infantry unit, shouldn't be Defcon1 though
