I know this game is not Cnc but I really like this in zero hour. I noticed there was no veterancy if your single unit did very well in the game. It would be nice if you had a unit perform really well on the battlefield and he or she gained veterancy. Veterancy would give a unit increased shooting rate, more health, or auto heal.
Also I think general powers would be nice in this game. The more you kill the more points you earn to call in special abilities like coh 2 and zero hour. Also in zero hour you could steal money and drop units on the battlefield. What does the community think?

Re: Upgrades and General powers
I really enjoyed the General powers, just another customization of the game and added depth. I feel like right now you spend a boatload of time to build a base and then a 30 second battle and then the game is either won or lost. Base building and initial economy need to be better while preventing the 30 abrams vs light vehicles more.

I'd love to see this kind of thing in AoA. I think all that is good should be copied.
Generals powers really is something nice and no doubt should be added.

I noticed this too. And they also kept saying that the US army was more experienced than the rest, so I always asumed they'd get a bonus in the vet system
Also please no CnC powers, I hated those

Re: Upgrades and General powers
I'd rather not see point and click magic spells. If a player wants an artillery or air strike or something, I fully believe players should have to build them, put them in position and put themselves at real risk of loss. I hated that you could just click on a little icon and have something come from off map with no risk to yourself or your units in generals and I hate that it became so widely used in various strategy games.

If you've played the game, you would've noticed units climbing the veterancy ladder.
Rookie -> Trained -> Hardened -> Veteran -> Elite.
This text floats above a unit when it ranks up in veterancy.

Hope they get enormous life-bars like in High Treason at Elite. Elite guys were absolutely fantastic to have!
