Re: Do you even care about your community?
If the anouncement is biggest as suggest MadMat, we'll probably have to wait tomorrow or thursday for Mid-week madness or Week-end promotions aiming to mass-selling effect.
Re: Do you even care about your community?
Assuming that this week could be the launch window. Or that the announcement and the launch could be almost simultaneous...We don't know the schedule. Maybe the new version is not fully finalized, perfectly polished or tested...Or the communication and distribution details totally arranged yet...
But we get closer for sure. At least from the announcement

That's the saddest part of the story. I was getting used to think, after nearly three decades of its existence, that the word "Strategy" was the main cornerstone of the RTS genre and golden age.
Re: Do you even care about your community?
They need more time between the last patch and the new release.
This would be a bad effect if a dev publish a patch and two months after a new version of the game. Look at PA Titans.
Good result but a strange feeling for the buyers...
The comunity of AoA is destoyed...
The facebook page is ridiculous...
Communication has vanished...
Good.
Best conditions for a come back saying that they have made an Eugen's game, a real Eugen game with great ideas...
The games that you can play ten years after release and you are not bored after hundred battles.

Re: Do you even care about your community?
I think we all get by now, what the answer for the intial question "Do you even care about your community?" is....
Re: Do you even care about your community?
Maybe that the "community" (depending on which level you consider the community really starts) is also a bit aggressive and has her part of fault in this lack of communication.
Not really simple to explain some changes as a dev when you think that hundred of posts will complain after...
After considering an old sentence of MadMat "The need of one is not the need of all" or something like that, since they have sold 100000 copies of AoA, we should think that they have a good feedback from all sides of the gaming community to improve AoA for the best.
Just wait.
High Treason was great.
Zero hour has made Generals a legend.
The next iteration of AoA will do the same job
