I will buy this game as soon as I can. Very interested in the front-line system, the phases, and hopefully more vibrant and involved infantry.

Looks like a BTR-D forerunner. And I like how some guys are riding in a wagon pulled behind it.

That's a Renault UE of glorious French design, I'm pretty sure we're going to see that in game. A whole bunch were captured by the Germans and pressed into service.

It gets better. Most vehicles have guys heads sticking out the top and then an adjustable seat or something to allow them to pull their head in under fire. Not so in the Chenillette:

You simply pull the hood over your face and you are definitely 100% protected! The Romanian ones above don't seem to have it though, perhaps it was removable.
What if Wargame stuck to timeframe?

It was licensed local product and main artillery mover for motorised cavalry divisions until 1943. But indeed Germans used it as well, sometimes even armed with MGs or light guns although I don't see the utility of the said modifications given the level of protection.

Damn, I was really hoping for anything but WW2 game. Maybe they will expand it to 50´s and 60´s if it sells well.

I´ll probably buy it Regardless.

Just why does it always have to be WW2?

The last four Eugen games were either Cold War (WG:EE and ALB) or sci-fi (RD and AoA).

A WW2 setting might actually offer a very shrewd way to get rid of many issues the wargame series had (authenticity/sources, panic button planes, arty, etc...) in an automatic fashion. Add to that revised game mechanisms like the death of the all-important CV or divisons-linked decks and things begin to look even brighter.
But I've been burned way too much to be hyped or even impatient.

Yes, I'll probably buy it, but not blindly.
