Which divison will be implemented in Steel Devison Normandy 44?
Some are clear, but I am not sure about others. it would be nice to find out.

The only ones confirmed for sure are, AFAIK:

101st Aiborne (US)
'Scottish Division' (UK Infantry Division, probably the 15)
1st Polish Armored
Canadian Division (likely 3rd Infantry)
2nd French Armored Division
British Airborne Division (unknown which)
Axis-
12th SS Panzer Division
21st Panzer Division
Panzer Lehr Division
Static Defense Division (unknown which)
Allies-
101st Aiborne (US)
'Scottish Division' (UK Infantry Division, probably the 15)
1st Polish Armored
Canadian Division (likely 3rd Infantry)
2nd French Armored Division
British Airborne Division (unknown which)
Axis-
12th SS Panzer Division
21st Panzer Division
Panzer Lehr Division
Static Defense Division (unknown which)

- Unknown Heavy Division, probably 7th Armoured
Not that close, Sherlock ...
FrangibleCover wrote:US -

That's a bit closer from the mark ...FrangibleCover wrote:Canada - [Probably just one unit, the 3rd Infantry
Poland - Probably just one unit, 1st Armoured
France - [Probably just one unit, 2nd Armoured
Those were easier: the former was clearly mentionned, the latters are the only ones from their respective nation ...
FrangibleCover wrote:For a total of 9 Allied Divisions and then Germany gets 9 because the whine would be real otherwise. I've not heard about more than two and, unsurprisingly, they're armoured.
Germany-12th SS Panzer - Heavy
- 21st Panzer - Probably heavy
Obviously
So, 7th Armoured and 51st Highland are not in (6th Airborne is right, the 1st Airborne were in the reserve) and we're probably only getting one of the 3rd Armored, 1st Infantry or 29th Infantry. 17th SS Panzergrenadiers have been all but confirmed through a few different things like the Romanian teasing, I don't know if MadMat ever explicitly said they're in for sure. Scottfitzz made the good guess of the 3rd British Infantry being in due to them having the 1st Special Service Brigade and elements from the 79th Armoured attached as well as the only combat use of the Centaur tank AFAIK. The first shot of the trailer shows Germans in Airborne helmets, which could be representative of the ones attached to whichever of the confirmed German divisions it was but could equally be one of the various parachute units that were involved in the area.
I'm actually thinking that the Polish and French Armoured units will provide the Commonwealth and American equipped armoured divisions respectively and the American and British divisions will be the lighter type. If they're not going to use the Desert Rats which British armoured division would they pick? The same almost applies to the 3rd Armored since I can't imagine that the first mission of the US campaign isn't Omaha beach

Updated list:
Allied
- American 101st Airborne
- Unknown American Unit, one of 3rd Armored, 1st Infantry or 29th Infantry
- Unknown American Unit
- British 6th Airborne
- Unknown British Unit, possibly 3rd Infantry
- Unknown Scottish Unit, almost certainly 15th Scottish
- Canadian 3rd Armoured
- Polish 1st Armoured
- French 2nd Armored
Axis
- 21st Panzer
- 2nd SS Panzer
- Panzer Lehr
- 17th SS Panzergrenadier
- Unknown Static Division
- Unknown German Division
- Unknown German Division
- Unknown German Division
- Unknown German Division

British armoured will be Guards Armoured Division i suspect, took part in goodwood, totalize iirc and possibly cobra? Makes sense to me, more so then 7th did as 7th will be kepts for any possible desert campaign i suspect as to not confuse or overuse a single division.
British infantry will be the 15th Scottish infantry division i think.

Re: Which divisons?
Yeah I think it's the 15th Scottish as well. The 51st wasn't very successful during D-Day, while the 15th was AFAIK the most successful Scottish division.
I also think the 'Unknown British Unit' will almost certainly be a British Armored division.
Where was the 17th SS Panzergrenadier confirmed? I think it would be a great choice because they had a Fallschirmjager regiment attached to them, which could provide unique combinations for them.

And the Panzer Lehr wasn't even SS! Although it was attached to an SS Panzer Korps at one time iirc.
