Again, no coop campaign?

Postby warci » Sun 2 Apr 2017 21:29

We had so much fun with the coop campaign in airland battle! (even though it was pretty flawed).
While the SP campaign in red dragon was much better, I didn't play it nearly as much because of the lack of coop.
Is there no way to add it to steel division? I'm not a game dev, but I can't imagine it's that much extra work to provide this option? PRETTY PLEASE :)

I didn't like the dynamic campaigns ... but it would be cool to play missions in singleplayer (like Wargame:EE) with a mate together!

I liked the coop campaign but it looks like we're getting scripted missions instead of a dynamic campaign, which is fine by me.
What if Wargame stuck to timeframe?

You are indeed obviously not a game dev ... ;)
No, it would be a lot of work, something to be planned way ahead, and it wasn't the case.

what about a less linear multiplayer match?

e.g. one side starts with 3/4 of the map for deployment, and in b phase, but gets half income.

the other side starts normally.
:mid-match connecting(matchmaking), LoS bubble(Ruse), interchangeable loadouts, moving in formations different ranges for altitudes, 1$ price increments, tank/copter ecm, 5/6 weapon slots, and 10 player deathmatch nukemode

Co-op campaigns feel like wasted time without unit trading IMO. Even so, it would certainly be an interesting prospect if there's room to fit it in the schedule.

Going back to scripted campaigns would be a nice breath of fresh air. EE easily had the strongest single player missions. RD did a decent job of trying to make campaigns interesting, but the AI simply didn't meet the mark of what was necessary to make that idea float.

Doesn't have to be a full-on campaign, but something along the lines of the coop skirmish missions in men of war asssault squad would be really fun!

You could always just play vs the AI with buddies though?
